My Morning Swim documents artist Micah Lexier’s daily swim. Every weekday morning for the past decade, Lexier has begun his day with a short swim at his local community pool. The contemplative, durational experience of swimming is evoked in simply rendered, repetitive drawings. Turning the zine’s aqua blue pages mirrors the forward momentum of swimming itself.
Shannon Gerard crochets (a lot!), writes and draws books, and makes public wheatpaste installations that sometimes become stop-motion animations. She is an Associate Professor in Print Media and Publications at OCAD University.
