I used to have trouble deciding what to draw when I was young. Often staring at a blank sheet. The art college process finally liberated the channel but I think skateboarding has been a major factor. Being outcast, rolling around on the floor, making up stupid tricks and talking complete bullshit always fuels the pen. Pencils are shite as far as I'm concerned. The word 'draw' literally acquired the same meaning as, for example, to draw water from a well. It lost the meaning of 'represent'. An idea or an urge to express grows and finally needs to be 'drawn out'. Otherwise I think I would finally go mad. It feels the same as when I haven't skateboarded for a while and I crave that release. I'm forever thankful to all those who have helped me along the way, blessed to have been able to locale the holy grounds and not surprised that I'm not a professional (artist or skateboarder) and therefore feel forever free to NOT GIVE A FLYING FUCK. It's just self therapy, but of course I'm stoked if people like or want to use it. Simon True
